TheWelfare Research Archive aims to primarily conduct, transcribe, and archiveinterviews of leaders in Pakistan working along the lines of welfareactivities. Such activities includeprograms, laws, and interventions thatpromote social wellbeing, reduce poverty and inequality, and provide social protection by ensuring access to basic needs and services such as poverty alleviation, healthcare, housing, and education (Patel, 2024). Development of welfare effortsis not limited to the state, and is influenced by other stakeholders and leaders such as NGOs, civil society organizations,and faith-based organizations (Koehler & Chopra, 2014; Manuel, & Glatzer, 2019). In recent areas welfarepolicy is considered from a broader perspective, including environmental protection, online safety, skill development,and lifelong learning (Blau & Abramovitz, 2010). Overall, ‘welfare’is a umbrella term, that willallow us to archive a wide range of interviewsand data from diverse professionalsand practitioners.Pakistan with its broad-range of challenges, is in need of holisticwelfare develepment,and thus the relevance of this Center.
