The primary goal of The Welfare Research Archive is to transcribe interviews of people working in welfare, to document their experiences, challenges, and recommendations for an improved welfare net, in aim of: (i) advancing knowledge and understanding of the roles played by diverse actors working in Pakistan for welfare efforts and policy, including areas such- as public policy, social protection, peacebuilding, education, health, poverty alleviation, gender and equity, and environmental protection/ disaster reduction; (ii) documenting and sharing experiential insights from leaders, government officers, policymakers, practitioners, professionals, academicians, researchers, and activists working for welfare (in one context or overlapping areas), with particular attention to challenges, innovations, best practices, and recommendations; and (iii) establishing an accessible and ethically governed knowledge repository of interview transcripts that can be used for general readership, teaching and learning, secondary data analysis, and policy development initiatives.
